Where do you fish?

We cover a majority of the most productive lakes on the TN River chain including Chickamauga, Guntersville, Wilson, Pickwick, and even the spotted bass goldmine Smith Lake. Your guide will do everything possible to put you on fish.

What will we fish for?

The most common guided trips on the TN River lakes target include Largemouth bass, however, we also have several trips that include smallmouth on Pickwick Lake or Spotted bass on Smith Lake. If it swims in the lake we can set you up with the right guide to give you the best opportunity to catch fish.

How many days should I fish?

The more days you fish the better chances you have a catching that once in a lifetime fish. We suggest fishing as many days as you can whether that be one day or a week, we can accommodate you.

How many people can go?

Because all guiding is done out of bass boats two adults is the maximum for bass fishing trips. 1 adult and 2 children also works for bass fishing trips. Rates quoted are for the daily rate regardless of how many people.

Can we keep the bass?

BassWhacker Guide Service is a guide service and not a charter trip. Every effort is made to release every bass caught in good shape to fight again another day. We practice catch, photograph, and release. Replica mounts are encouraged. We are happy to take plenty of photos and measurements to make sure that fish of a lifetime is accurately portrayed for years to come.

Where do we meet our guide?

You will meet your guide at predetermined ramp or meeting spot prior to the days fishing. Targeted areas can change with the seasons. There are plenty of boat ramps around, so we try to pick one in a central location to the fishing area.

Start time?

With most fishing trips the start time will be meeting around sunrise. However, if you would rather we also offer afternoon trips that would start after lunchtime. After booking your trip we will be in contact with you in order to setup your meeting times.

Can you handle group or corporate trips?

Absolutely.  I work with many of the other top guides on the lake, and I can make all the arrangements for you.  It is best to decide on a date as quickly as possible so that we can assure availability of the other guides and lodging accommodations (if needed). Whether you need 3 boats or 10+ boats we have the resources necessary to book a large group outing. Need to set up a small tournament for a group with the guides let us take care of you. We can set up a weigh in with lunch.
